Women in the Clark County area will soon be receiving this postcard promoting an evening with Southwest Medical Group's plastic surgeons. This event gives women an opportunity to meet the doctors, learn more about breast surgery and ask questions in a relaxed, inviting setting.
Ok, great you have a blog in the Social Media space. But why on earth, do you have a blogspot blog? You should be hosting on YOUR OWN DOMAIN. Pretty uninspiring attempt at the social media space, IMHO. Your brand/company needs to have a more serious Social Media Marketing Policy and Plan, not just throw up links to your Twitter, Facebook and Blog accounts. And YouTube channel videos, with no other promotion online? You can certainly do better for an organization of your size.
ReplyDeleteIt's no longer about Outbound marketing, old-school style anymore. That's so 2008, so 20th century... It's evident in the communication approach and marketing a brand online, is taking on a whole new paradigm. Ads, push marketing/interruption marketing styles, are not going to fly in the social media space. It's about education, connection and trust...
We're entering a 21st century "inbound marketing" world now and your search presence online, your usage of Social Media to connect, educate and converse with your constiuents, clients/supporters has to be taken seriously...
Just by the fact that you have a non-hosted blog, is an indication of a rudimentary, less than ideal understanding of how Social Media needs to be addressed for an organization as old and as legendary as yours.
Your medical practice, your staff, the equipment, etc, is state of the art. Top 100, remember? Please bring your Social Media presence and approach up to that standard, because we want to continue to proud of your organization.

Please understand, I really love the new Facebook Fan page. I just think your blog should be sitting on the Southwest branded website and not giving it to Blogspot. I hope you guys keep blogging information, coming from staff, supporters, etc, because there are many fans, including nearly 5 star reviews at Yelp.com.
ReplyDeleteI am following you on Facebook and Twitter, so I look forward to the news your group brings to us online.
So, while I think having a blog on blogspot doesn't seem hip, in all retrospect, having a presence on some of the cutting edge social media sites, is "pretty cool." :-)
To another 150 years...
